On the side of VAWR, there were Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Hoa –
Deputy Director of VAWR, representative of Hydraulic Construction Institute, representative
of CTIC, and Departments of Personnel and Planning.
On the side of Korean partner, there were representatives
of Korean War Veterans Association, K-WATER Corporation, Korea's Rural
Development Administration, Korea Environment Corporation (KECO), and waterwaste treatment company
in Seoul and The Amsa Arisu Water Purification Center.
At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Hoa briefly
introduced about organizational structure, functions and tasks, field
operations, and VAWR’s achievements. Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Hoa said, the Academy
has been coordinating in the implementation of some projects related to
organizations and communities in the region; besides, the Academyalso realized
that the potential for the development of cooperation between both sides is huge.
The Korean partner also stated that
the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is an extremely crucial event.
The Academy is a reputable
scientific agency in the country with Professors as well as Associate
Professor, Ph.D leading in the field of irrigation;
it also has materials, equipment, as well as expert and enthusiastic staff. The
Korean representative said, they hope to continuously coordinate with the VARW
to develop and implement more of other projects and tasks in the future.
Prof. Dr. Tran Dinh Hoa hopes both
side will continue to take advantage of the potential as well as inherent
strengths to promote and develop cooperation agreement. VAWR committed to
mobilized all the resources of the Academy in the best way to accomplish all of
the contents signed.
